Television Host and Reporter Wanted

Posted by Michael Cervieri Tue, 27 Jun 2006 00:04:00 GMT

A few days ago I wrote that we’re looking for online reporters for a mixed media publication dealing with the healthcare space.

We’re still looking for online reporters for a mixed media publication dealing with the healthcare space.

But equally important, we’re looking for a host and an on-air reporter for a 13 episode healthcare talk show on an established cable network. The format is relatively Charlie Rose meets Meet the Press meets 60 Minutes. Relatively. Episodes will be filmed in our New York studio.

The general theme is the state of American healthcare from the perspective of Consumers, Providers and Employers, with a particular focus on trends and issues within each such as equity vs. choice, preventative healthcare, free market vs. government solutions, etc.

Each episode will air twice a week for 13 weeks, and the television program and online publication will be deeply integrated.

If interested, please contact me at mcervieri [at] scribestudio [dot] com with a cover letter and resume by July 15. Those under consideration will be asked to submit reels by July 30.

Reporters Wanted

Posted by Michael Cervieri Thu, 22 Jun 2006 12:01:00 GMT

We’re launching our first publication. It’s online, it’s mixed media, it deals with the healthcare space and is a prototype of others we’re rolling out during the rest of the year.

The format is something I call squad blogging (i.e., multiple people contributing to the same blog, essentially debating/conversing with each other), the position is open to anyone who deals in text, audio or video and a rough prototype is this blog right here. It’s been a proving ground of sorts. Some might call it a playground.

In particular, I’m looking for business and/or healthcare reporters, especially those who’ve focussed on legislative issues.

The general theme is the state of American healthcare from the perspective of Consumers, Providers and Employers, with a particular focus on trends and issues within each such as equity vs. choice, preventative healthcare, free market vs. government solutions, etc.

Content includes that which we create as well as live Webcasts with industry thought leaders, Podcasts and archived seminars and lectures that our company already captures.

I’m looking for two contributing reporters. I’m not looking for one-off freelance articles. If interested, please contact me at mcervieri [at] scribestudio [dot] com so I can provide further details about what would be expected as contributor and to answer any questions you may have. In return, I’ll ask for clips, reels, etc.

Radical Prostate Therapy May Not be Worth it.

Men, before you agree to have your prostate removed, think again. A new study conducted by the Institute of Cancer Research has found that long-term survival of low-grade disease without radical therapy is fairly high. Removing your prostate or undergoing radiation therapy can cause impotence or incontence, two side effects men need to seriously consider before deciding a course of action. Over 10,000 men die of prostate cancer and 32,000 new cases are discovered each year.
